How to measure
These blinds are stock sizes, not cut to your window. Ten minutes with a tape is enough to know the opening.
Inside the frame
Blind sits in the opening. Measure width and height at three spots. Keep the smallest number, then pick that stock size.
Outside the frame
Blind sits on the trim. Add 1.5 to 3 inches of overlap on each side so light does not leak, then pick the closest size on the sheet.
Inside mount
- Use a steel tape. Measure the opening, not the existing blind.
- Width: inside the frame at the top, middle, and bottom. Keep the smallest number.
- Height: left, center, and right. Keep the smallest number.
- Pick the stock size that matches those inches.
Outside mount
- Measure the area you want covered, usually trim to trim.
- Add 1.5 to 3 inches on each side so light does not leak.
- For height, start where the headrail will sit and end where you want the hem.
- Pick the stock size closest to that finished coverage.
